When I first met the Doctor, a long, long time ago … he knew all about me. Think about that. Impressionable young girl, and suddenly this man just drops out of the sky, he’s clever and mad and wonderful and knows every last thing about her. Imagine what that does to a girl.

So here’s a thing I don’t understand. I don’t know if I just got confused or missed something, but ..

When River met him for the first time later, she already knew about him as well, didn’t she? Since she has been trained to kill him, right? But when she talked to Rory about the Doctor and how it is all back to front, she made it sound like she didn’t even know the Doctor at all when she met him for the first time.

So .. Is it me who got confused here or ..?
